The Father of Modern Hypnotherapy

He became one of the most famous hypnotherapists of this time. He used self-hypnosis to overcome the pain and stiffness of polio he got when he was young. He actually got polio multiple times.

He is also called the inventor of the Handshake Induction, and he was the first to describe the “Hand Levitation” method of induction. His method of Conversational Hypnosis aims to communicate directly with the unconscious mind.

Milton H. Erickson

Erickson is also credited for having had a strong influence on the development of Strategic therapy, Family Systems, Brief Therapy, Ordeal Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Many books have been written about both Erickson and his methods, and he has a great many followers. We will write more about him in the nearby future, including about his methods and inductions.
